Wired’s sneak peek (not Peeq) of Twitter’s Wingman device

So the folks over at Wired got to see Twitter’s new hardware, dubbed the Wingman. Like the Peeq, this’ll be a one-trick pony. But let me tell you, there is a lot of tech going on around that trick. The highlights include wi-fi, GPS, 5.0 MP cam with a Carl-Zeiss lens and a xenon flash, twitpic integration, and a very low price point of $30-40. The catch? There’s a two year contract with Boost Mobile (I’ve never even heard of ‘em before).

I check Twitter pretty much every day (psst, we’re @justamonday), but I do so on my iPhone. Buying a separate device with a separate contract to boot doesn’t really appeal to me, but I guess I just don’t tweet quite enough to qualify. How about you fine folk, you readers of JAMM? Would you pick up a Wingman? Do you even need a Wingman? Do you like Top Gun?

You can check out the full Wired post (with video) here.
