I’m not going to lie to you folks. I ordered my new Kindle 2 the second it went on sale at Amazon. I ride the train ever day (over an hour each way) to work. And the thought of carrying 1500 or more volumes in one slim device is extremely attractive to me.

Initially, when I ordered it, Amazon sent me a ship date of March 2, with it arriving in my grubby little paws sometime around March 10. well, I received an email today indicating that my new toy had already shipped! The new arrival date is March 2, and I cannot wait.

Of course, I am not the only one to jump on the Kindle 2 bandwagon. Judie Lipsett from Gear Diary and Dan Cohen from What’s On iPhone also purchased the new Kindle on February 9.
