Quick-Link: Psychology of Technology: 5 Smartphone Rules to Live By
Dr. Jim Taylor of Mobility Digest has recently posted an article entitled Psychology of Technology: 5 Smartphone Rules to Live By on his Psychology of Technology blog.
Can we live without mobile devices for blocks of time, during our day? I know that this is a fundamental question that could be the key to productivity and happiness. Dr. Jim examines the affects of SmartPhone devices on various areas of our lives such as how it can affect our families and even our quality of sleep.
I’ve notice in my own life, how distracting mobile technology can be and how important it is to be able to go off-line and and take time to enjoy living outside of the “virtual reality” of technology. There is nothing more unnerving than having a conversation with someone who is typing away at text messages, while you are talking to them.
This article was a really good read, as I’m sure that you will also gain much from Dr. Jim’s insights. Please do post comments if you would like to discuss this issue.
