Moving From Palm OS To Android Couldn’t Be Smoother… Maybe
New devices are exciting, especially if they bring you to a new OS. But they also can bring some drama, I said “some”.

A month ago I gave my wife a new device, i.e. a Motorola Milestone (aka Droid), because her Palm OS smartphones were too old and she needed something new.
With my surprise, she has been really happy with her Android phone, until yesterday morning, when:
She (with a frantic shout): Dear!!
Me (running on the stairs): What’s up?
She (showing me the screen of her Milestone): Look at this!!
Me: !?!?!!?!?
She (while holding the device firmly): It fell!
Me: How can you say that?
She: Look at this icon, it shows it’s bumping, so it fell.
Me (kind of embarrassed): Oh, that icon? It seems to be the phone vibrating, not bumping; try to phone yourself and see what it does…
And you all know… DROID DOES vibrate!!
