GMail vs. Hotmail: Lifehacker Compares The New MS Hotmail To GMail
After introducing PUSH capabilities to the new Hotmail, you may wonder how GMail is compared to the revamped MS mail service.
The guys at Lifehacker asked themselves the same question, and went through a comparison between the two services.
They analyzed the following points:
- InBox
- Attachments
- Embedded contents
- MS Office (or Google Docs) integration
- Speed
- Organization
- Instant messaging
- Mobility
- Spam filtering
and conclude that, even noticeably better, the new Hotmail still is not on par with GMail, even if they admit:
It’s worth noting that we love Gmail here at Lifehacker, so while this is was an attempt to be fair and even-handed we may often favor Gmail because, well, we like it. Nonetheless, there are some great new additions to the new Hotmail and things are still missing from both.
I suggest you to visit Lifefacker and give it a read. Meanwhile, I will enjoy my GMail account…
