All Things Terminalized

The other day while at work, a gentleman was accessing his Windows Server 2003 with an iPhone. That got me to thinking of my own use of remote access programs such as LogMeIn where I can log into my home computer to get some things done. Essentially, my device whether it be an iPhone (using something like Jaadu), a Windows Mobile PDA (with LogMeIn), or another computer with an internet connection has become a terminal. I can see and work on the remote computer and now, my resources are no longer limited to just a small mobile processor as I have potentially a quad core, hyperthreaded, Core i7 beast that will do my bidding. Sure, I may not be able to play a realtime game off of my mobile device as the shear amount of data throughput needed may be a bit too much and the lag would be unbearable, but a turn based type game or something that is not of the action/arcade series may play just fine – I’ve played "I Spy" type games as well as card games and turn based strategy with no problem.
